This consists of the extension of the main wastewater treatment plant in the city of Córdoba, which uses an extended aeration system with activated sludge. The project consists of four new lines in order to increase the flow of wastewater for treatment by 49,000 m3/day, and catering for a population of 130,000.

The aim is to provide the towns of Villafranca de Cordoba and villa del Rio in the province of Cordoba, Spain, the necessary urban wasterwater drainage and treatment infrastructures in compliance with DIRECTIVE 91/271/EEC.
